Glider Diet

Many Glider Experts agree on the main parts of a Gliders diet, but there are several ways to reach those goals. All of these include FRESH fruit and Veggies daily. Most Glider Owners offer a fresh protein sourse. We feed Meal worms, boiled chicken, and crickets. We also include some pre-made protein sources. Please dont rely soely on a pelleted diet or use the sugar glider foods you can find in many pet stores alone. Read carefully, and check with your vet as most of these foods are only part of their diet and require fresh foods as well.
We feed BML. (Bourbans Modified Leadbeaters) The recipe is easy to make and most of the ingredients you can find in your local grocery store. The exception is the vitamin and calcium suppliments you need to get at a pet store, or online.

blend well again
2 teaspoons REP-CAL  CALCIUM suppliment non-phosphorus with vit D-3**

1/4 cup Wheat Germ

blend well. this should be the consistancy of a thick gravy. Pour into covered ice trays (I get mine from tupperware) or covered tupperware bowls. FREEZE.
One ice cube of frozen BML will feed 2 gliders when used with the plan. remember this is only part of the diet. You must feed fresh or fresh-frozen fruit and veggies nightly as well as insects

The BML Plan

The BML plan includes fresh veggies and fruits each night.Never use canned. You can use whichever veggies your glider likes. We have found that corn should be used sparingly as they love corn but it nutritionally it doesnt do a lot for them. I feed 2 veggies and 2 fruits every night. Our favorites are peas, carrots, green beans, fresh spinich leaves, baby snap peas, brussel sprouts. Avacado and corn are fed about once or twice a week.Never feed seesds or pits to gliders. They can get caught in their small trachia and choke your glider. Favorite fruits are mango, kiwi, cherries (no pits) apples honeydew, cantalope, watermelon, peaches, ect. with NO SEEDS)
